Gathering on 28th Dec 2009

On 28th December 2009, six of us gathered at Raffles City Shopping Centre, Sudoku Restaurant for dinner, than proceed to K box for a session of crazy singing. The function was initiated by Stefanie, at first at least ten persons promised to attend; but on that day only six turned up. The rest have their reasons for their absent. The group was small, but we generated lots of laughter and fun in these few hours.

Gathering on 1 Oct 2008

Benjamin Kan came back to Singapore to celebrate his mother's birthday. Classmates of ECU knew about it, and organized a gathering for him at the Makansutra at Espanade on 1st October 2009.

The Organizer was Junie. People attended were Marcus, Bernard, Kim Guan, Junie, Cheryl, Hor Yee, Alfred and Benjamin.

We were there tasting different types of local food, enjoying the laughters and old memories, as well as the sea breeze and night scene of Singapore sky scrapper.

We also celebrated Alfred's birthday in advance. This was the second consecutive years that we celebrated his birthday.

Several of us took photos and videos of this event.

Our TMI Premises gone

The Disappearing Act

One day, by near curiosity, I decided to pay our old study premises a visit. It was a sunny afternoon, with my humble feeling, I would expect to see TMI still operating at it premises. No doubt they have pulled out from education business. But to my surprise, as I reached there, everything has changed! Long gone were those sweet TMI and ECU signboards!

The front entrance of the TMI office where our Mr. Mayappan was located, changed to a beauty join!

Our classrooms' entrance was locked with 'For Rental' sign sticking on it! This is the place where we used to congregate after every test and exam to discuss the answers of the test or exam.
The tower is around with new paint

The is a new sculpture at the courtyard.

Joseph Matte Visit

Our Tutor Joseph Matte

Joseph visit Singapore on 11 April 2009, and met up with a group of us at Grand Park Hotel on the night of his arrival. We appreciate his presence. The night was full of laughter and fun, of course, rounds of endless Sake drinks too. We even made Alfred to dance in front of the crowd. Joseph is as usual, he is a guy (a big guy) full of big smiles, and friendly. We enjoyed the night. We also took the opportunity to celebrate Kim Guan's belated birthday. Thanks to the effort of Marcus and Junie. The following photographs recorded some of the people who were present on the night. There were few more who came in quite late, hopefully someone has taken their shots and share with us here.

The photograph above was taken by Hwee Thuan, the rest were captured by Chia.

End of a process

A milestone in life

Finally I received the official document from Edith Cowan University (Australia), that is my certificate on Bachelor of Science. I have proven to myself, if given opportunity, I would be able to achieve the target that I had set. Once again, I reached another milestone of life that I have set for myself.

Life without a target would be meaningless. Right?

I set another target, in several months time, I should be harvesting it. I am looking for to get it done. Cheer! To myself.

Class 2008 Gathering on 10 Jan 2009

Junie took the trouble to organize the BBQ on 10 Jan 2009 at Downtown East Chalet for us. We take this opportunity to thank her for her efforts to make this event a big success. I believed everyone went for the BBQ would agree with me, that the BBQ was a successful one. We have added another page of sweet memory to our 'Mind Bank'.

We enjoyed the jokes cracked by our Great Alfred, he made us almost burst our stomach whenever he threw out his unexpected statements. There were so much of food and liquor around. The night was filled with joy and fun.

Wish we would have this sort of fun more often. This would distress us from the hectic working life.
